CTCAE Cloud website and mobile apps

Effective date: August 12, 2026 · Last updated: August 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Jihoon Kwon (“I”, “me”, or “the developer”) handles information in connection with:

CTCAE Cloud is an independent reference tool for Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE). It is not affiliated with the U.S. National Cancer Institute.

1. Summary

2. Information stored on your device

The mobile app may store the following locally on your device (for example with on-device storage):

This information stays on your device and is used only to provide app features. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app removes it.

3. Information I do not collect directly

I do not operate a user account system for CTCAE Cloud and do not intentionally collect names, email addresses, health records, or browsing history of CTCAE terms into my own servers for these products.

If you contact me by email, I will receive the information you include in that message (such as your email address and message content) in order to respond.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense / AdMob)

The website may display ads served by Google AdSense. The Android app may display ads served by Google AdMob.

Google and its partners may collect or receive information used to show ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud or abuse. This can include device identifiers (such as advertising ID), IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and interaction with ads. These practices are governed by Google’s policies.

On Android, you can typically limit ad personalization in system settings (for example, Reset advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization, depending on your device).

5. Analytics and logs

Hosting or infrastructure providers used for the website (such as Firebase Hosting / related Google Cloud services) may automatically process standard technical logs (for example IP address, user agent, and request timestamps) for security, reliability, and operations. I do not use those logs to build personal profiles of CTCAE users.

6. Children’s privacy

CTCAE Cloud is intended for healthcare and research professionals and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data retention

On-device preferences remain until you clear them or uninstall the app. Emails you send to me are retained only as needed to handle your request and ordinary correspondence.

8. Your choices

9. International users

The services may be accessed from different countries. Advertising and hosting providers may process data in the United States or other locations where they operate.

10. Changes to this policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when updates are posted. Continued use of the website or apps after an update means you accept the revised policy.
